While researching Switzerland misconceptions I realized that one thing that came up many times is “I though Switzerland would have many more crisps”!? Something I admit I did not understand. Is it maybe because we have so many potatoes??
In German, ‘Zweifel’ means ‘doubt’. If there is one thing there is no doubt about it, it’s that every Swiss person associates the brand ZWEIFEL with crispy chips.
This year it will be exactly 50 years since Hans Meier a cousin of Heinrich Zweifel started manufacturing chips manually. For this big event, Zweifel launched two products that blend perfectly with Switzerland. These special editions are: “Grilled Sausage” and “Cheese & Grilled Onions” (only available during the Jubilee year). These products also show that the pros chips cultivate traditions while constantly remaining innovative and open to experimentation!
Now that the change of hour has officialy opened the bbq season I can only suggest you try them.
